This guide covers your learners’ journey step by step — from account creation to course access, dashboards, community tools, and troubleshooting — so you can create a seamless and engaging experience.
User Accounts: How Learners Join Your School
Learners must create an account before accessing your content. There are three ways they can join:
Method | How It Works |
---|---|
Sign-up form | Users register via your school’s sign-up form. |
Manual addition | Admins add users directly through the dashboard. |
1-Click Sales Funnel | Accounts are created automatically during product purchase. |
Signup Approval:
Enable signup approval to review and manually approve accounts before granting access. See how to use signup approval.
Enrollments: Giving Users Access
Learners must enroll in a product (course, learning program) to access learning materials. Enrollment methods:
Enrollment Type | Details |
---|---|
Self-enrollment | Learners enroll directly from the product page (purchase if paid; enroll if free). |
Manual enrollment | Admins can manually enroll learners. |
Purchasing: 1-Click Sales Funnel & Shopping Cart
The 1-Click Sales Funnel streamlines the sign-up process by creating an account automatically during checkout, helping boost conversions.
- Add payment sections directly on your pages so users can buy and enroll in just a few clicks.
- With the Shopping Cart, users can purchase multiple products in one transaction, improving efficiency and increasing revenue.
Don’t forget to configure your navigation settings as described here.
After purchase
When a learner completes a purchase of a course or enrolls in a free course, LearnWorlds allows you to define exactly where they are redirected next. This is a key part of creating a smooth and personalized user experience—whether to say "thank you," start learning right away, or promote other products.
This guide covers how to configure the After Purchase Navigation for:
- Single product purchases
- Multiple product purchases
- Free course enrollment
School Emails & Notifications
Keep your learners engaged and informed with automated emails triggered by specific events. For example:
- Welcome Email: Sent upon account creation.
- Enrollment Email: Sent upon enrollment in a course.
You can find and edit those options under Communication → School emails. Find more information about the notifications here.
Home Page vs. After Login Page
Your school uses two key landing pages:
Page Type | What It Does |
---|---|
Home (Start) Page | Public homepage: what visitors see before signing up. |
After Login Page | The first page learners see after logging into their account. |
Profile Page: Learners’ Personal Space
Each learner in your school has access to a Profile page, where they can view their learning activity and achievements.
The Profile includes:
- Enrolled courses, time spent, posts, and achievements
- Downloadable certificates, badges (if gamification is enabled), and purchased products
- Followers and following (if the People Directory is used)
You can find more information in this article.
Account Page: Manage Subscriptions & Settings
The Account Page is your users' hub for managing subscriptions, billing, payments, and profile settings, all in one place.
Users can:
- Update personal info and password
- View enrolled courses and programs
- Manage subscriptions and payment methods
- Review payment history and download invoices
- Adjust notification and privacy settings
Course Player: Accessing Content
The Course Player delivers your educational content in an intuitive, branded interface. Learners access it automatically when they start a course or learning program.
Supports videos, study files, quizzes, assessments, SCORMs, and more.
Allows customization to match your school’s branding and teaching style.
Supports instant access upon enrollment (unless using drip-feed scheduling).
See how to customize your Course Player.
Community & Communication Tools
Foster interaction between learners and staff with these options:
Tool | What It Offers |
---|---|
Community Spaces | Allow learners to post, comment, and engage with classmates or staff on specific topics. |
Course Discussions | Enable Q&A and topic discussions directly within each course. |
Inbox Messaging | Learners can send private messages to staff or classmates. |
You can find out more about the Community in LearnWorlds here.
Users Troubleshooting Guide
When a user reports an issue, ask them to follow these recommended steps before escalating:
1. Clear their cache and restart their browser.
2. Try from a different browser or using incognito.
3. Check for any add-ons that might be blocking some actions.
4. Restart their device or try another one if possible.
If the issue remains, you should also try to replicate this from your end with a test user or by using the login as this user feature.
