LearnWorlds offers an Interactive Video Editor with advanced functionalities, including a convenient sidebar menu that allows you to enhance your videos by adding elements such as a Table of Contents.
In this article, we will explore how to add a table of contents to your videos. Adding a table of contents is crucial as it improves navigation, allowing viewers to easily find and access specific sections of the video, enhancing their overall viewing experience.
To add a table of contents to your videos:
1. Select a course and navigate to the Course outline tab.
2. Hover over the video learning activity and click on Edit video.
3. Click on Table of Contents.
4. Add headings and configure them by specifying the exact time for each one.
5. Select the contents settings by choosing to:
- Show table of contents button on the video progress bar.
- Show table of contents menu when the video is loaded.
- Show heading text in the video progress bar.
- Hide heading pins when video progress bar is hidden.
6. Save your changes.
Based on your settings, the video will appear like this in the course player. When the user clicks on the progress bar icon, the table of contents will be displayed. Clicking on a heading in the progress bar will take the user to that specific point in the video.
